Frequently asked questions
Short, honest answers. Looking for step-by-step setup? See the Setup Guide →
Do you ever ask for my exchange API key or password? ▾
Never. Stragenius sells scripts, not execution. The script runs on your own machine / account with your own keys — they are entered on your platform, never on Stragenius. We have no access to your funds or trades. Anyone asking for your API key or password is a scammer.
Which platform should I choose? ▾
Binance — trade directly on the exchange (a self-running Python bot).
PineScript — you use TradingView charts + a webhook bridge to execute.
MQL / cTrader — you trade through a MetaTrader / cTrader broker.
Full setup for each is in the Setup Guide.
How many symbols does one script trade? ▾
Each script targets one symbol, calibrated to that symbol's own historical data (threshold, entry, take-profit, stop-loss, leverage). For another symbol, generate a separate script.
What is the strategy? ▾
Long-only. The bot reads the market regime from the symbol's 200-day average and its slope: in an uptrend it buys strong upward momentum, in a downtrend it buys sharp 1-minute dips (buy-the-dip), and in a sideways market it stays in cash. No shorts. Every trade gets a take-profit and stop-loss on the exchange and a maximum holding time. Parameters come from that symbol's own history.
Is it safe? Will I make money? ▾
A safety layer is built into every script: a leverage cap, a minimum-budget check and take-profit / stop-loss orders placed on the exchange with every entry. But crypto is risky and past performance does not guarantee future returns — backtest results are not a promise. Always test on testnet / a demo account first. The default for the Binance bot is testnet (fake money) until you deliberately switch it to live.
Does the Binance bot need my computer to stay on? ▾
Yes. The Binance Python bot runs on your machine/server; if it closes, the bot stops. Many users run it on a small always-on VPS. The PineScript route (webhook + a bridge service like OctoBot / TradersPost) can run in the cloud instead.
